Could somebody please help me out here? I'm a newbie whose been stocking up on domains now for the past, uhh, maybe 3 weeks. I have em parked at Sedo, and some other places. Then today, I read something that tripped my out. Whats up with the 60 day transfer policy before transfering your domains? Does this mean I have to wait 2 months now before I can sell any of these new domains of mine? Isn't there an alternative? What if I just handed over my registar account with the sold domain? Then, could I just open a new account at that same registar, and keep repeating this process? Or am I way off here?
There's got to be a way.. I saw a sale yesterday at DNF and out of curiousity I did a whois on the sold domain. It said it was created on Aug. 19, 2005 through Godaddy.. How did he sell the domain that was only 3 days new? Sorry, but I'm stumped!!
Thank you,
J

This should probably be in the noob section, however... as long as you transfer between accounts under one registrar (i.e. godaddy account to godaddy account) it isn't a problem. The ICANN rule is if you wanted to transfer it away from the registrar, i.e. godaddy to namecheap.

yes, you can sell the domain, you just cant tranfer it to another register for 60 days.

You can sell your domain to another one,and what you need to do is 'Push' the name to the buyer's account at the same registart.

Yes you can sell it, but you have to wait to transfer it.
