60 Day wait period to transfer Domains

I reg names with Wild West Domains and I read the fine print and they have a 60 day waiting period before a name can be transfered to another registar. Im not sure if I can sell the the name to somebody who agrees to leave it with them until that time is up or start a new 60 days after a sell under a transfer agreement. Does any one know of a top registar who has a signifigantly shorter period and also keeps the price low, I usually pay $7.70 for a single name.

Thank You

60 days is ICANN rules. Every registrar follows these guidlines and rules. You can do an internal transfer between accounts though. You sell a domain you have at GD and then push to the buyers GD account.

Agreed, dumb rule and it does nothing to protect anyone.

I don't see a problem selling the name, as long you let your buyer know about the frame time for the transference, he can open an account with wwd and transfer the domain between accounts or you can place the domain on his servers and do the transfer latter. Most buyers are cool with that.
The 60 days rule apply for ALL registers >:(

The ICANN 60 day rule applies to new registrations, not transfers of
ownership. As this is a new reg, it does apply. However, do note that some registrars have imposed their own restrictions on transfers after a direct sale if the registrar is the selling entity. I'm in this situation now.

See ICANN rules.

procedures for change in sponsoring registrar set forth in this policy shall
apply. Enforcement shall be the responsibility of the Registrar sponsoring
the domain name registration.

selling is no problem. Just push internally

60 days isn't long enough. It can take longer than that to verify
that no problems came with the domains that you buy:

The rules should be biased to get domains to end users
and not resellers.
