How to get around the 60 day ICANN transfer lock?

Is there a way to get around the 60 day ICANN transfer lock? I know you can transfer within the same registrar from one account to another but is there a way around it to transfer a domain to another registrar during the 60 day lock period?

Not really, but there are some exceptions on transfers: a domain name can be 'called back' to the original registrar in certain circumstances like unauthorized transfer.
That applies to gTLDs like .com/.net etc.
The ccTLDs generally are not subject to that kind of rule but each extension is different.

You can email [email protected] and hope they release it, most of the time they will, but it depends on their mood. And it takes over a week to get a response :/
