I was hoping a few members here could list some of the benefits to joining the ICA (Internet Commerce Association) -
I'm tempted to join, but the copy on the site doesn't exactly leap out at you.
I've heard it's a must if you have a good portfolio of names.
Thanks

membership benefits are a group of very smart people working on your behalf lobbying for better business ethics, professionalism and legislative frame works for our industry ... imho
There is no real immediate benefit. And quite frankly, I'm not sure you recall their first chairman posting on this forum, but it went disastrously wrong and he was removed from his position. The man they had put in charge of a "Domainer's" Lobbying group didn't even understand what Domaining was.
In theory, they lobby for Domain related issues. Like this Snow bill thats coming up. But as I see it, they really are lobbying for the big guys and their issues not necessarily the plight of the average domainer. They aren't really a "trade" group, which is what I feel is needed in this industry. The closest to that is the DNOA, but even that has been very stagnant as of late.
