I take my word back on Snapnames

I recently placed an order for a pre-release domain on Snapnames at 8:45 on the 23rd. It said release date to be the 24th(I have screenshots of the order by date being 9:00 p.m. on the 23rd).

After not having snapnames have it auto-draft out of my account the 24th (release date), I called and was told by a representative that it shows the order by date being the 24th. After advising that I have screenshots of it saying the 23rd (front of site still showed the 23rd as well) He said I had nothing to worry about, since I was in fact the only bidder in the auction. He told me the domain would be placed in an account for me at the registrar and I would be emailed with the login details.

I am still waiting for replies to my support tickets and waiting for a call back by the supervisor in which I was promised. Nothing.

I took a look at my account and it now shows in backorder status, who.is shows it being at the same registrar.

I would expect after spending over $4,000 with them over the last 2 months I would be treated a little better. Instead I have had a rep politely hang up on me and I have held for supervisors and been promised a call back with no actual intent to call back.

Am I the only one this has happened to?

First of.. What words are you taking back?

Secondly.. You have to present the matter a little clearer. They have not delivered the domain your ordered and said that they wont? Or are you still waiting for the delivery?

I was told the domain would be pushed into an account for me on the 24th since I was the only bidder on the auctions. Snapnames was contacted this morning and told me the registrar never auctioned the domain and it's now in backorder status.

Very unprofessional to give me a release date for the account information and then retract that statement and tell me there was never an auction. Even though David at Snapnames told me there was an auction.

I don't know if I need to contact above and work out a private sale or if I should just keep the backorder.

Makes no since why the registrar would not want the backorder profit over releasing it to the registry for free. Above.com is the registrar and they are well known. I figure this should have been an easy error to fix.

Update, contacted Above.com and they got me in touch with Trellium.

Amazing service and was invoiced within 3 hours for the domain. Paid a little more, but they moved it into an account for me.
