Hi all,
I placed a backorder for a .org domain on both Snapnames and Namejet(there were 3 bids).
The domain dropped today and was registered by an organization called DropCatcher.org.

Can it be possible for someone to actually beat Snapnames to a name? Because from what I read, Snapnames are unbeatable.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I've seen them get beat quite a bit lately. I just wish they would get beat when I have exclusive backorders placed elsewhere!

There are many catchers besides NJ and Snapnames and although they do have great success, they still get beat.

but it also depends on which registrar was holding the domain

While Namejet and Snapnames aren't the only players in town, they do usually get the ones I am after.

Maybe this .org you wanted just wasn't very high on their queues that day

That said, every now and then a small guy is able to get in at the exact moment, and sneak one away.

Sure, it happens all the time, especially with domains that drop in a short period of time (.ORG).
