Afternic and Snapnames

Do all Afternic domain become available on Snapnames after they expire? There's one domain that expired in mid September but still doesn't have "order by" date listed. How come?

Because the domain is registered with DIRECTNIC it should be on auction at snapnames. You should see the domain on snapnames after 3 weeks of expiry date. The auction should start 33 days after expiry date.

I don't know why your domain doesn't show up at snapnames. The fact that two expire dates are showing is something good. It means the domain is not renewed yet.

Now I will contact Snapnames and see what they say.

Snapnames is the correct site and I don't have any explanation why the domain didn't show up during the last week if you kept check it there a few days ago.

At this point what you can do is, add it to domain monitor on my site and you will receive an email if the domain makes it to pending delete.

If there are other domains like the one you mentioned you can add them to monitor as well and you will receive an email as soon as they appear on the pre-release list, the first auction. Basically it checks all pre-release lists (snapnames, namejet and godaddy) and the pending delete list every day.

Damn, I knew. Snapnames responded I would not get the domain in pre-release. I asked them for explanation.

Snapnames answer:

"The short answer would be because they didn't list it with us. "

Now the question is: why wouldn't a partner registrar list it with SN?

To keep it for themselves?
