I purchased this name a while ago and actually forgot i had it until i got the offer.

It actually gets some traffic for some unknown reason.

Had an offer over 1k for it.

What do you think, sell or counter offer ?

I would counter offer, but not for more than 5x the amount they offered. If they don't want to offer more I would definately accept the offer. Good luck with sale.

If the offer was on Sedo I'd accept or push it to auction. If it was via email I'd counter with at least 2x what they asked. You can always change your mind later if it was through email.

Try to create a brand with it, a nice logo with something entertaining on the homepage, perhaps a jackass(tv show) style music video. I'm not saying you need to develop an entire website, only a homepage for your domain instead of parking it. Your homepage should give ideas to visitor and groups you are marketing to the potential qualities of your great domain "brand".

Personally if that was me i'd take the offer and run, but asking them to make it official on sedo is a good idea, that way you know its safe.

However I agree with the others, counter the offer but dont go over the top it will just scare them away, so many people when they get offers like that just counter with stupid offers nobody would ever bite and loose out on a perfectly good sale.

I'd take the offer, since you forgot you even had the name, and the offer isn't that bad.

A sedo suction would give you better results.
