I just had an offer of $100 for TACLO.com

It is one of my favorites and I was hoping for more with this name??

I think I am going to counter with $500, does that seem reasonable??

Its from a free hotmail.com address, google doesnt help me much??

Thanks all

That's a neat one; price can swing widely.
even if it's a large company wanting this, they'd have to be extremely motivated for this PARTICULAR name to pay that amount, rather than getting a similar quality LLLLL for much less.
For such a lowball offer, I'm betting it's not a large company...
With a 100 first offer, and that name, personally I'd think a 500 counter would turn them right off, and I'd probably counter in the 250 range.
That being said... who knows? Maybe they'll accept 500 immediately. It's always some guess work and tactics... but that's my 2 cents worth of gut feel and experience, take it with the grain of salt
:)
I do like the name... and you gotta go with how much you want to get for it

Bannen, thanks for the advice, thats the advice I have from a couple of people, so I may counter a little lower and see what happens. It is one of my 5L.com names that I really like, but I guess that doesnt mean anything when it comes to selling it?

Thanks again

I would not counter so low. Who knows what the end user is. Someone is fishing around for a bargain, or they know something you don't. I would counter with a low 2xxx

I had a friend get suckered into selling a domain to a large computer company for $40. Don't let them set the "tone" of the negotiations. And dig up as much information as you can on the potential buyer.
