A week ago i was looking for a domain name.
i wanted to make a forum for gamers.
I thought that www.worldgamersforum.com it was exactly
what i was looking for.
The first thing to do was to look for this domain in any
website (to see if the domain was available)
Yeap...
it was available!
My second thought was to find a company with cheap domains!
i don't want to tell you the name of the companies i was look for,
everybody knows the reason!
Final i try to buy my domain at ipower.com!
And that was my biggest mistake!
Well...i make my order and i get my receipt,

Only thing you can do at this point is probably get your money back. That's it.

Same thing happened to me. Registered it with them and got the confirmation email. I even got the domain setup information. When I tried to manage the domain, I couldn't log on. I did a whois on the domain, and it showed that it was registered to someone else -- it was registered eight hours after I registered it with IPower.

Not sure if they're grabbing good domains that you're trying to register or if they're passing them off to another entity. It could also be that they're just too slow in processing the registration that some other guy (possibly snooping on whois searches) beat them to it.

In any case, it doesn't sound like a good company to register your domains with, even if they're dirt cheap. Other NPers have similar bad experiences... here http://www.namepros.com/142480-ipowerweb-2.html#post1333296.

Yup from my understanding they are a reseller so it can take up to 2 days to confirm if you have the name or not. Ipower is not a main domain registar.

Not the best English grammer in the world. But many folks (most, matter of fact), don't speak a foriegn language at all. You are ahead in that game, so don't feel bad :tu: Your English gets better, the more you read and use it.

Even if they are a reseller, this clearly wouldn't happen so often. Obviously their intentions are set to not improve the system that "magically" steals the good domains customers register at their site. At least, you learned from your first experience right away: low prices rarely correlate with reliability!
