I lost on buymotorola.com how do I tell where it went or if its for auction?

Hi,
I am somewhat new to the domain game. I placed bids today on 2 names on pool.com, snapnames.com and club drop. I got one name on pool.com and the other buymotorola.com I did not seem to get. How do i tell who got it and what they paid for it? If it is up for auction somewhere how do i tell that? Any help or advice would be great.

First, and very important, buymotorola is a trademark (well Motorola is) and if you built a sucessful website there then Motorola would take it away from you. So you were lucky that you did not get the name.

Pool has poor ethics to be selling this kind of name, but they are far from alone.

Go to your favorite registrar (such as Namecheap.com) look for the link marked "Whois" click it and type a domain name into the form. This will usually give you the contact information of the owner. Buymotorola.com is still showing only a registrar, may not have been paid for yet.

Have'nt you tried http://whois.domaintools.com ??? there you can find all the details about the domain.

Yes I tried both before posting but it still showed the old info. Was just wondering if there was a easy way to figure out which service picked up a name that you did not get so you could go and check and see if that had it for auction.

Well now I know. Pool.com has it and it is bid up to $70 so far. Guess I will not go for it.
