I recently registered a ton of premium domains using Cheapdomain.com.

I've been registering since .5-4-2016. and have had them in my account.

the most recent batch I've reg was recently deleted and I was refunded thee account. supposedly because of discrepancy with the contact info.

The rep over at Cheapdomain told me the problem was that I don't live in Germany!

ok? but inputted my address truthfully.
and I distinctly remember seeing a pop up with my info prefilled in. and the pop up said that Cheapdomain would register these domains on my behalf as my "registered agent" in Germany.

at least I think that's what it was.

this is very very suspicious. like I said I've had many .de domains since 5-4-2016. why only now has this become an issue?

as per the phone call to my registrar I have been informed that ALL my .de domains will be deleted and removed.

the most recent delete was VR3D.DE

and wouldn't you know it? someone already took it?

is someone over at DENIC cherry picking my domain regs?

doesn't some registrars like Marcaria help you register CCTLD's on your behalf as a "registered agent" since they have a satellite office in those countries?

Please help. immediately? as my .de domains are beind deleted.

This really SUCKS!!!!!

The devil is in the details. If you want to succeed, generally you have to make sure you understand the rules, play within them and understand the actual function of the tools you are using - in this case your registrar.

Below is a link to DE's terms & conditions.

https://www.denic.de/en/terms-an-conditions/

I suspect you were confused about your registrar's actual function in regards to this part of the T&C.
ยง 3 Duties of the Domain Holder
(1) In submitting the application for registration of a domain, the Domain Holder gives an explicit assurance that all the data about them in the application is correct and that they are entitled to register and/or use the domain... If the Domain Holder is not domiciled in Germany, they must appoint an Administrative Contact domiciled in Germany; this Administrative Contact is also the Domain Holderโ€™s authorized representative for receiving the service of official or court documents...

As other's have suggested to you, slow down and get focused!

<start tough love>Stop trying to cover all the bases and registering every name and extension that pops in to your head. When you're all over the place, you are going to make mistakes like this. We would all like to see you be successful but you are your own worst enemy. Seriously, I mean this in the nicest possible way! </tough love>

Update. sorry for the panic attack. it seems I was rerouted to some perhaps newbie customer service in the UK. usually I get routed to the Arizona location. I had a feeling this rep did not know what the hell he was talking about. This rep was reading it wrong. The problem with the deleted "purchases" not domains. was that their system had somehow put 14 domains in my shopping cart TWICE and had double billed me.

This was explained to me over at Arizona.

I can understand people can be new but this fool almost went ahead an delete about 50 or so of my .de domains.

turns out CheapDomains did have a sort of "Registered Agent" service that comes free with every reg.

But it's not called "registered agent" it's called a Trustee.

they would be my Trustee on record for each .de domain as they have registered agents in each country where they have their country mail sent to.

same as registered agent I suppose.

So everything is fine. all is well again. thanks for the input at least.

Best of luck to ALL!

GREAT to hear this!

Well, I learned something new today - at least about CheapDomain and it's "trustee".

(But still, slow down... :xf.wink:)

relax. this is my year. after checking my list. which is quit extensive. ridiculously so. I'm finally liquidating. I'm lining up some quick says in the 100's. each 4 figure sales I expect. with a little luck. I will post them on NP soon I hope. Crossing figures. I'll showcase them in my SIG.

Thanks test case.

by the way? fyi to all? Cheapdomain.com I think has the cheapest .de price around. I did not even research it as have been with them for a while.

I do know other places charge a little more. the reason?? because they say it's because they provide you with the "Registered Agent" fee so you could register a CCTLD.

only $6.39 /.de and includes the necessary Trust feature for free.

I thought I replied to this. guess not sorry. oh it was totally something different. Their system had deleted double charges on this one particular bulk order.

It goes without saying always always trust your gut instincts. Thank God I called back customer service after an hour. That Rep I was rerouted to with a Brit accent I'm assuming was in England was a new employee. he said that Cheapdomain never had a "Registered Agent" service and that I wasn't supposed to register .DE domains unless I lived in Germany.

The second time around it was the head office in Arizona I was routed to and they gave me the correct info and he knew about the "registered agent" service aka Trustee Service.

so no none of my domains were deleted from my account. just seems that way as they deleted the double billed domains.

also another thing. if anyone plans to reg .de over at CheapDomain?

their reg process has a tiny Glitch.

if you reg a .de domain you will be asked to confirm your address. you will be shown a prefilled form with your cheapdomain info on file.

EXCEPT for some reason the form will always have Alabama as the State. lol

I don't know why! Asked them to look into it but they keep saying they don't see it happening on their end.

This could become an issue with ICANN's Whois Rules. right?

Anyways. I've babbled enough. Good luck! happy .DE hunting.

$5 bucks and some change

hmm is that a special coupon or regular everyday price? AND does it come with Free Trustee Service? I never bothered looking into Godaddy for this .de as I thought it would just be typically Godaddy "Expensive".

so does it come with free Trustee service?
