As the title says - I just graduated college!

4 years and $165,000 later I have a finance degree and I'm going to work online...using none of the skills taught to me during my schooling...awesome. :kickass:

Congratulations! :tu:

You THINK the degree won't help you in your desired field, but it will. The skills you used in college are a good foundation for business, regardless of the field.

It's a great accomplishment. You and your family should be very proud.

Way to go!

It's always great to contribute $$$ to the uni & not use it later on in life. I know I did too!

Anyway, congrats on the graduation!

congrats! but.... be honest. of the 165K, only 45K was for tuition and books. the rest was.... um.... filed under "entertainment expenses", right?

i am not sure if i am more impressed that you graduated in finance or that you had the good sense to register with NP back in 2003! in any event, nice work! SP

This is the...

LOL. You really make me laugh! This is the reality though. We are working "outside our learning". Wheeww! truly, education has been commercialize. The basics are of the most important. The next levels are somewhat more on "commercial side", no longer serving the purpose. I mean, what we opt to be should be the main teaching module and not those unnecessary subjects that will only exhaust our parents resources.:tri: and after graduation what's next? huhummm like what you've said - your work is "outside the coverage area" of what you've learned. LOL.:)
