Growing up today kids are taught in school or by most parents that college is essential to succeed in life. Sure a degree is great but is it really necessary? Now, it takes 40k a year to go to a really great college and then what happens when you get out? You send your cute resume to everywhere in the city you live in and you get a few interviews. You go to those interviews and the highest paying job they offer to you is 25k. Sounds great right? A few years go by and you are not in the industry you went to school for and you look back a realize, did I really need to spend 4 extra years? The school system does not allow kids to have the creativity they are deserve. You walk in any school and you get the feeling of the dictatorship. They don't allow anybody to do anything. You speak up, they yell at you. You think for yourself, they yell at you. Schools are teaching kids to sit down and shut up. Do your work and you will be fine. But what happens if I don't want to do the work? What happens if the kid finally realizes that teachers are making him do something he doesn't need? The kid knows what will happen. That's why he will just sit there and do it anyways.
Do we really want these people in the workplace anyways? Push overs that can't think for themselves. Always asking their supervisor for help when they could have done it just fine if they actually thought about it. I know I can't have employees that I have to babysit the whole time.
Think for yourself. Something has to change.
