Going to try out the 62% commission level with godaddys premium listing. I'm assuming, it will list my domain in more top listings. Anytime a user does a domain registration search, my domains will now be listed in their search results.....

i will keep you updated if my sales increase.

i have 150 domains listed with 62% commission!

I have over 200 names listed as premium and I have not paid a penny for the listings - I would not be interested if there was a monthly charge considering what commission I am paying Godaddy when they do sell a name.

Thanks, I was going by a 2008 article which mentioned it cost $4.99 a month to list your domains as premium there. I guess they got rid of that, most likely do to the amount of commission they are taking.

How does this GoDaddy appraisal compare to Estibot?

The godaddy appraisal in my opinion is over exaggerated.
They give you a range of what it might be worth, from a low end to a high end,
as well as a recommended price (the median of the range).

On some of my domains the range seems too high to me, but we'll see.
I decided to just list mine at the recommended price, but will reduce
each month until they're sold.

I just noticed that godaddy has changed their interface a bit, now when you search for a domain it doesn't show you the similar premium domains, you have to click the button "Premium Domains" for it to list them. It's the same way on some resellers that I've checked out. Argh..I'm guessing this will hurt premium sales.

We show the premium domain sold on 7/8/2009 and you will receive payment by August 31st. We will send you a check to the address listed in your Godaddy Payee account. Please let us know if you have further questions.

I like how it doens't hurt to list it on sale. i guess if you jack up your price, then 62% isn't so bad, if it really does get you the sale.

Interesting sale as this domain myFitnessStore sounded familiar. I let the .com/.net drop in December 2008. It was one of those newbie regs not high quality but just goes to show how you can sell even so-so quality domains with enough marketing. Congrats on the sale. I still have plenty of fitness-related domains including six exercise-related .TV websites (one in Spanish).
