Hi guys,
i want to list my domains under godaddy Premium listing, so if any one search for domains similler to my one in GD home page, my domain will also appear as Premium.

now i had some reading about this on google, and only came a cross old articles. so i want to know the following kindly.

1. Weather listing is free or need to pay a fee per domain?
2. Commission Rate?
3. Sign up link?
4. After completion of sales, how long it will take to release the funds?

* Assume all my domains are registered at godaddy and they are either com, net, org and co.

Thanks for the thread user-name, I too was wondering about this.

So just to be clear- there is no up front fee to list a domain as a permium listing, the payment is only taken upon sale?

Premium Lisitings are not that visible anymore compared to the past.

Since the new gTLDs came out, Godaddy has given ranking preference to the same term which is available in these extensions.

Unless the person searches your exact domain, i.e. term + extemsion, it will not show anywhere close to the search bar. In the past, when the search term was similar to your domain, it would show, but these days, you'd be lucky if it shows at the end of all the search results, and in such a case you'd need to scroll and scroll to find it- I wonder how many people do that. That's why they dropped the fee from 30% to 20% because there really is no difference between an ordinary listing and a premium one anymore.

As Nper stated, Godaddy Premium Listings don't get the visibility they used to because new TLDs are getting a lot more exposure. I suppose that either Godaddy is being compensated by the registries to promote the new TLDs in that manner or the conversion ratio of new TLD promotions is marginally higher than what they made from promoting premium .COM / .Net listings. The only real promotion you get is if someone searches for the exact phrase as your domain.

confusing confusing !!!!
i have listed 8 domains yesterday. out of that

- only 2 org are showing up when search exactly like the domain name. rest of .com,.net, .co are not showing up even for exact search

- Price shows less lower than what our asking price in their control panel.
ex: example.org asking price 2999 we have set, but showing in front page 2000$

whats going on?

- ok guys, now godaddy shows correct price we set. it was only because of an initial messed up when i set the prices.
- premium list only shown when search exactly name with the domain extension :( .
as your guys stated, just keyword alone does not bring my premium names. hell lot of newgtlds are brought up in the search results.

sorry for so many bouncers. i know this is not a cricket pitch :)

i spend some time on GD to see how our domains are appearing for queries. yes as stated by your guys,

- When we enter the exact domain with the extension, our premium listing appears immediately.
- If we enter a keyword, if our premium is an exact match .com, it appears immediately.
- When enter the keyword and we have the non .com premiums listed. it appears at the middle or at the bottom, or even not appearing at all.

This must be true as my GD Premium sales have become nonexistent this year. Used to sell 1-2 names per month. Now I barely sell 1-2 every 6 months. GD Premium is dead as far as I'm concerned. Shame that as it used to be a good place to move domains.

I've had poor sales via Sedo and BrandBucket as well - so now I'm just sitting on domains with no place to sell them :(

Anyone have a suggestion for the best place to move domains these days?
