Congratulations! Your Premium Listings domain has sold!

Domain: ******************.com
Date Sold: 2011-Mar-07
Listing Price: $ 395.00
Commission: 30%

For the very first time I used GoDaddy's premium listing to sell a domain name to an end user. Commission is 30% but the good news is that I only paid $7.66 US for it. Reg Fee!

Those of you who argue the commission is to high and that you will never use their service are loosing out. No matter what the commission is at end of the day, GoDaddy is the largest registrar with the most traffic!!! which will result in more sales!

I wish GoDaddy didn't constantly go with the "cheap" message in their commercials. If they switched things up to being somewhat more serious, premium listings would be flying off the shelves. As it is, they have engrained "get a cheap domain" into the minds of people that see their commercials, so it doesn't work as well as it should.

Hitting people up for a name right as they're searching for it is the best timing, and GoDaddy obviously gets more of those opportunities than any other registrar by far. But as much as their inclusion of premium listings is nice, they're still a domainer's biggest competitor and it's their Super Bowl commercials vs domainers'...um...yeah.

Controlling 60-70% of the market is not enough? They have done enough to control the trade... all we have to do is wait and profit.

Does GD also use Paypal for payments or only checks (cheques)? Just wonder how we would go about cashing a $US check in Australia.
