I don't know where to put this but I have a question. But, I guess it is a domain discussion topic.

Anyhow I am trying to contacted a domain owner bu, I can not reach him. I called him and also emailed him.

Unfortunately his phone goes to some random company he probably set up and his email is via a private whois.

Also his address is a po box ... which might not be valid any more.

Any tips on how to reach him?

Thanks

Report the fake whois to their registrar.

Yeah, this is the only thing you can do with further effect. He just doesn't seem to be glad of having business with you.

Report the fake whois to their registrar.

What's fake about it? I hate spurious fake requests. You've called and the phone appears to be legit.

He didn't TRY the email yet just said it was privacy.

The POBOX "which might not be valid any more."

If "privacy" is on he doesn't want to be contacted. Move along.. or try harder.

DON'T JUST REPORT IT because it's harder than you would like it to be to contact someone who doesn't want to be contacted.

Report the fake whois to their registrar.

Just because the guy doesn't return his phone calls, doesn't mean it's fake whois information.

FatHive: try mailing a letter and see if it gets returned.

Seems like he has other domain names registered to and email forwarded to this company with a different address and phone numbers.

Going to try that and see what happens.

NVM got the same voicemail ... going to go ahead and send out two letters.

Why are you contacting him ?

Is there something illegal on his domain ?

For me if i don't want to sell domain or to respond to someone, why should i ?

Only thing you can do:
1. (i assume) Send him offer he can't refuse
2. Send email with request for confirmation that he had read your email (
a)there is option in email client
b)simply tell that you dont know have he received it and it would be nice if he reply,so you can give up)

He might just be ignoring the request.
Doesnt sound invalid, sounds like they just dont care to reply.

That is what I think it is. It is unfortunate to see a domain name rot on the interwebs.

A lot of people enter fake information because they don't want people even knowing who they are. Contact the domain company and tell them the domain owner can't be reached with any of their info and they may ask them to upstream the info. Aboutthe only thing you can do...
