The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com and what a remarkable week it was! In addition to seeing the year’s biggest sale to date – one that soared past $1.2 million - we also logged ten 6-figure sales! We knew we would have some big sales to report as we are in the midst of publishing thousands of previously unreleased sales from Uniregistry but the top five sales (totaling over $2.8 million) came from five different venues – showing broad based aftermarket strength. The numbers were impressive across all categories including ccTLDs (including one of the year’s 10 best) and non .com gTLDs (where the top sale was a new gTLD). You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2016/20160728.htm

True and according to a lot of people Santa Claus (started in the 16th-century) is actually derived from Sinterklaas (started in the 4th-century).

According to the legend, Saint Nicolaas was a bishop who lived in Myra, the present-day Demre in Turkey, around the year 300. As he cared for the poor, it broke his heart to see that a man with three daughters had no money to support them, let alone pay their dowry. His only choice was to send them into prostitution. The story goes that Saint Nicolaas wanted to prevent this, and threw money through the window, accidentally ending up in a shoe.

Is Sinterklaas the Dutch Santa Claus?
Absolutely not. This is the most common misconception about the holiday. Sinterklaas and Santa Claus are two separate persons and are both acknowledged in The Netherlands. Although present-giving during Christmas is becoming increasingly popular, Santa Claus as a personality really cannot compete to Sinterklaas. There are very persistent stories where Santa Claus was based on the image of Sinterklaas, when Coca Cola personified him for marketing purposes. Also the name Santa Claus is derived from Sinterklaas´ full name Saint Nicolaas. So if anything, Santa Claus could be considered the American Sinterklaas.

Not sure how anyone can trademark 'country inn'

'Country inn' is a generic term surely to describe, well country inns :guilty:
