Huge Million Dollar Project!! - How To Market???

I am almost finished developing a digital product of mine. I don't want to give to much information on it, because the product alone is worth alot of serious cash...

The product will increase your page ranking + daily traffic. Also, it will submit your website and increase your changes of getting to the top in Google, Yahoo!, & MSN Search.

This product has been my dream... It will be launched very soon. I am new to marketing products. I have had good experience on eBay, but thats a whole different story, then real marketing a website.

well, you could send out a press release via the many free pr submission sites out there. Or submit news about the launch to a site that would be interested in promoting such a thing. Get some popular site to post about it and you're on your way. Announcing it here sounds like a good plan too (since it would appear your site would interest domainers).

I believe you might have to test extensively before offering to public at such a grand scale. Especially, if you are going to charge for it.

Like I said, this has been my dream project. I have extensively tested it for months. The only development left, is minor bug fixes and changes and input data reports.

I am not exactly sure how you came to conclusion that its a huge million dollar project without proper market research which also includes how the product can be marketed.

Well, you can do many things:

1. Buy goolge adwords advertising
2. yahoo advertising
3. forum advertising
4. Advertising on sites that are directly or indirectly related to webhosting and domains and development
5. Of course you need a site that explains everything about the product and sells with payment options.
6. Do a google search for " Marketing a web product", read in the resulting pages, how that can be done.

Keep doing it and you will understand it. Note that I am not an expert either.

Actually he is right if your product is supposed to bring you up then let it do it..for example i ahev seen so many people offering Professional SEO services and themselves are not to be seen in search engines results.

What i have seen id you get more hits than advertisng than being featured in a article...pay your way up the articles get a professional writer and make a good article..pay people to post them on their site....pay people to digg it to stumble upon it..pay PPC companies to put ur link on their PPC templates ..pay people to put ur link in their profiles ..sigs avatars...there is so much you can do the possiblities are endless!

Thanks for your help guys. Obviously, I will use my own product to increase search engine placement and page rank. Just because I am high in the search, doesn't mean clicks will convert into sales...

I need a solid marketing plan, but I am on a budget here to... Here is what I have come up with:
- Yahoo! PPC (overture)
- E-mail Marketing
- Forum Sigs
- Free Web Directories
- Link Exchange w/ Other Sites

If anybody has more suggestions... please let me know. I really need your ideas, Thanks!
