How's your first week of CTR at Bodis?

Hi,

I'd like to check if other domain owners who are parking at Bodis experience the same issue I've been experiencing.

For the past 2 weeks, I've added some newly acquired expired domains to Bodis. For the 1st and/or 2nd day of parking, CTR will be high. Thereafter, CTR drops to merely 1 or 2%. It has happened to all the domains that I've added to Bodis within the past 2 weeks.

Is anybody seeing the same results? What could possibly cause this? It couldn't be the keyword or the landing because I didn't change them since I setup the domain.

its the same with me ...my ctr dropped to 6 % from 19 % on the whole protfolio....

Yea, funny thing is visitors remain the same, but ctr drops. Do you think it's the anti-fraud system at work? If it is, why is it not working on the 1st and/or 2nd day and only kicks in after that? Funny.

no I dont think it is any antifraud system..It is just that people see mjore of these pages everywhere and become anti to it...You can have a more ctr by customizing the pages...

However it has never made any difference to me..I just dont see the point in parking....Unless you are parking like a pro...

I've had a similar problem, my CTR went from 15% -> 2% overnight. So i went to the landing page to see if there was a problem, and there was. I clicked on each category, and only one ad was displaying per menu item, while before there was a full page of sponsored links. Have you guys checked the landing page for any problems?

Yes, some of my domains have this problem and is hurting my CTR real bad. However, I also have some domains showing ads but the CTR fall as well. I believe it has something to do with the following observation.

In the auto landing page, Bodis will generate about 8 to 10 keyword links. I clicked on the 1st link and there's only 1 ad. I clicked on the 2nd link and there's only 1 ad from the same advertiser. I clicked some more, until I reach the 5th keyword link and see more different advertisers.

I'd have preferred to move the keyword link number 5 to the top of the page. Because then the visitor will see more ads and therefore there is higher chance he will see an ad that displays what he's looking for, and so clicks on it.

If you were a normal visitor, would you click on a landing page 5 times (to reach keyword link number 5) after seeing only the same 1 ad when you click the first 2 links?

I hope we can be given the ability to re-arrange the order in which the keywords in the auto-landing page appears.

each of my page has 4-5 advertiser.....And am still not sure why that is happening...

regardsing us being given a chance to rearrange you can always play with the keyword and get it rearranged....

Just want to add... you're lucky to get 1 ad for each category. I used to have 5 ads for each category. Now, I have no ads for every category, but occasionally I'll get 1 or 2 clicks. I wonder what they click on since no ads displayed.

Perhaps the feed provider has limited my domain in some way. Matt doesn't know what's the problem with my domain. I tried changing to different keywords such as lose weight, earn money,.... all 0 ads.

I just spoke w/ Matt regarding my problem and he said that specific domain was banned by Google So that explains my problem, I'm only getting the Ask.com feed which Matt says has much fewer advertisers.

My domains were first parked at Sedo, and within one and a half month there they made about 0.70$! Now, parked at Bodis, during about three weeks that domains brought about 10 bucks!!! You can laugh, but for me tis GREAT result! And I pray my account won't be banned for domain quality (you may continue laughing))

why would anyone laugh I think its great when people do well, especially if they can at least cover reg fees

Did you ask why these domains were banned? Is it because of traffic quality, fraud, or lack of conversion? Is the ban permanent or temporary?

You can solve this problem by customizing the landing page. Set your keyword the same. The system will generate the same links as the auto lander. Then just remove the 1st five links. I'm sure that 1 ad appears on page 5, as well.

I'm wondering, if Google has banned the domain, then if I develop this domain and put up Adsense, will there be any ads available?

so if I had about 200 domains I will never know which was banned and which isn't ...I am not going to individually check each domain each day to see whether it displays ad...
