.mobi How will people use the mobile web in 2 years?

Just want to get your thoughts on how you think people will use the mobile web in 2 years time. Obviously the mobile web is just starting to gain a foothold in the western world so how do you see the use two years from now?

* Note: this poll refers to the mobile web in general not .mobi. So please do not sidetrack this thread with pro vs anti .mobi comments.

initially I think we'll see a lot of mobile mashups and feeds based off current web content providers, as well as mobile widgets to bring the web repackaged to mobile users, but as mobile use, technology, and standards progress, you'll see new creative applications that take advantage of the omnipresence, geolocation, 'always on' and 'always with you' features of mobile devices - some of this will be driven by b2b apps, b2c advertising, but the kids sharing music vids and texting each other will likely be the biggest uses of this Myspace/Youtube generation. :imho:

I like your foward thinking! Reminds me of the way I thought of the internet when I was on CompuServe in the late 80's. Unfortunalety, I didn't register any names back then. .mobi will never be a .com but damn if I make the same mistake twice.

I say #2. People use their pc to get endless info on whatever they see fit. The mobile web will provide the same luxury except it will be on the go. The possibilities for the mobile web are huge and it is my feeling that .com will have some serious competition in the near future (2-3 years).
