How to you classify domains based on direct traffic?

Normally what will be the average direct traffic per month for a normal domain?

How much money can we make by cash parking? what is the best cash parking site?

Is it worthful to sell domain with huge traffic? How much we have to increase the domain price with huge traffic?

Normally if we develop website, it requires lots of marketing. How we can make of use domain with huge traffic for developing website?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Not sure what normal domain is as every domain is unique but let's just say really, really low. For a domain to get any substantial traffic (meaning it would generate a stable income stream) apart from people checking from time to time if it's available, the domain has to usually have one or more of the following qualities:

- Obvious, killer word: awesome.com, cool.com, bible.com, vegas.com, coin.com, time.com... People either anticipate a site or are checking out of curiousity.

- An everyday consumer product: diapers.com, tea.com, cars.com, loans.com etc. People are lazy and anticipate that they find what they are looking for.

- A sought after service or info: billing.com, vacationrentals.com, weightloss.com, thesaurus.com, lyrics.com, quitsmoking.com etc. The same reason as above.

- The site has been developed before and then abandoned. It has backlinks all over the www and people end up on the domain via those links.

- The domain is a typo (not necessarily squatting) of some big site or brand or thing: apple.com >> aple.com, homes.com >> homez.com, xvideos.com >> xxxvideos.com. People mistakenly type in the wrong domain.

- Porn. Bdsm.com, pornflix.com, footfetish.com. People like porn and are looking for more. Maybe they don't want use search engines.

- The domain is about some hot, current issue, thing: trumpsucks.com, y2k.com etc. People are looking for info or whatever.

There are other more nuanced situations as well. And sometimes a domain gets traffic for a reason that you're unable to figure out.

If you're thinking about regging a bunch of domains and start making parking income, I'm afraid that's not going to happen. And when a domain that's likely to have traffic drops it's seen a mile away by people who are dedicated to parking which means you have to pay more than a reg fee for it, usually a lot more.
