How to push domain on Dotster.com

Hi all,

I am new to Dotster.com and I can't find the option to push domain on their domain control panel. Any idea? Thanks

They told me that there is a temporary BUG, that's why it is disabled.

p.s. All registrars which are using this panel - have the same issue...

Also they don't know when it will be resolved and added into their panel again... no any timeframes...

Yes, I also heard that song yesterday...
But today their answer was without any timeframes.

Here is a results :)
No, this want be a permanent, they work on this very hard and problem will be resolved very soon. Thats what they told me few min. ago.
According to them there is another way to add domain into yours account, check this:

Another push method is - chat but in that case you need security answers for account owner in which account domain should be pushed.

Below message was also posted to another thread:


A chat rep. just told me account move is gone for good "for security reasons".
Time to move away the last domains I have with domain.com, dotster and netfirms or to sell them.
Unfortunately, when selling, the buyer will have to be involved when the "manual" move is performed.

The procedure is like this:

1.Start chat.
2. (optional) mention to domain.com/dotster/netfirms that they're idiots
3. tell them the domain you want to move and the account you want to move it to
4. Authenticate yourself (security question)
5. They will ask you to authenticate for the other account as well
(optional) a good time to remind them that they're idiots
6. Tell them the other account is an account for another person (your customer) and you can't possibly know the answer to their security question... not to mention it would be unprofessional to ask them
7. The domain will be moved out of your account (don't know where it goes -> probably to holding)
8. Tell your customer to add the domain to their account using
a. Control Panel -> "Add existing"
b. Contact support if that doesn't work
9. (optiona) Don't forget to leave a really bad feedback when you exit the chat and remind them once again in the comments that they're the absolute worst registrar ;) ...and of course ... IDIOTS

I think it's not a bug... there is still no push option in Dotster :(

I just spent an hour on hold with Dotster support trying to find out how to push a domain between accounts.

I was transferred by another support person who did not know how to do a push.

After holding for at least an hour I was disconnected.

So I never got an answer.

I never used Dotster until yesterday when I regged a bunch of domains.

Now I am beginning to think I have made a big mistake.

How am I supposed to sell a domain before the 60 day lock is over if I can't push it to another Dotster account?

Has anyone pushed a domain a Dotster before?

I would love to know how this is done.

What about transfers away from Dotster after 60 days?

i think there is an option once you select the name and then click modify selected domains. there is an option to initiate account change. please check.

The best I can figure is this.

In the recent past there was a place, or button to press if you wanted to push a domain from one Dotster account to another.

That has apparently been removed sometime in the last few months.

I think now you must contact customer support to do this.

Good luck with that.

About a month ago I contacted their support and spoke to someone who, believe it or not, did not know how to do a push.

They transferred me to tech support, and after an hour or so of waiting I was disconnected and never got an answer.

I still have no clue how this works.

I don't know what will happen if I sell a domain to an end user that is still under a 60 day lock and can only be transferred with a push.

If any one else knows about this or if you have successfully contacted customer support and pushed a domain recently please tell us about it.

We all really need to know about this.
