hi i am new to this wanted to no how i could get my sites on google search pages so when some type it in it would come up with my site. is there any way to make money through ads if yes how?

Use meta tags to specify your keywords for your site and a short description. ANd try to find others to link to youer site ... this is the best thing !

There's a lot going on in that question.

You can get a high PR site to link to you (without it appearing purchased by having in a "sponsored" or "advertising" section) that helps you get indexed.

Of course you can make money by selling ad space. The rub is that you have to get your site popular enough that someone would want to advertise on it.

I think that the best thing is to provide such a good service with your website that others want to mention yours in theirs. You can have a shocking website with poorly optimised words but does the job that people want it to that keeps growing and growing in popularity.

Prepare to wait for a very long time with those elite *&^%$ not ever accepting your site.


So you want your site indexed?

Find a lot of website directories (dmoz.org has a lot of weight but nearly impossible to get listed on unless you know someone who is a mod or even better if you are a mod yourself) and submit your website to them.

Make sure the directories does not use no-follow links otherwise it doesn't have much use.

Above is a very good site that can help you out with finding SEO friendly sites.

Submit your site to dmoz as well but submit it and never look back, if you get in...congrats!

Also regarding High PR sites linking to you, look if it is a High PR site that contains relevant content to yours otherwise it wouldn't have much effect.

Try to get a link from that site in the form of an anchor link containing the phrase or keyword that applies to your site and is in located on a page with few outgoing links and related content.

Implement Adsense, this will surely get your site indexed (not for number one position though ) and like i said before check out www.forums.digitalpoint.com and sign up and learn as much as you can regarding SEO since what i just told you is just the top of the iceberg.

Once you have enough post count on DP you can place a link to your site that is SEO friendly and not a no-follow!
And since DP holds a lot of weight in the search engines your site will be indexed almost over night because of the heavy crawling by SE spiders.

Get on board with DP is the best advice i can give you. You would be getting much better customized advice regarding the specifics for your site and not getting any advice that might potentially hurt your future SE rankings.

Relevance is key in current times and keyword metatags are useless!

Most important metatag is the page title!
