How do I get my website to get hits from search enginges like Google, Yahoo, Altavista and so on?

I think you must either have some links from already indexed websites OR manually add your site to their database. In google, it's: http://www.google.com/add_url.html

Still the best for me is you write an article of your expertise make sure it's thoroughly researched and is a great resource, then submit it to goarticles.com, ezinearticles.com and other article directory sites that encourages republishing of article contents, make sure you mentioned your url one in the by-line and on the resource box, no self promoted links on the article body itself and watch the backlinks increase. goarticles/ezinearticles are already listed on the search engines so when their sites are spidered your site will be spidered as well.

The first thing u have to do is add ur site in google (http://www.google.com/add_url.html) and then wait for a day , it will surely get into google but for few days it will not come up on top ranking, for that u have to create more backlinks and must have quality content.

ive added mine to google but it doesnt have a physical website will it still be added to google.

I added it yesterday and it still doesnt show up I just wona know how others get their site promoted when its just in parking.

If by 'physical website' you mean webcontent - then NO, it will be NOT added to google. In order for SE to have some reason to add your site, it must have some content (it's SEARCH engine, you know... It must have something to index your site. W/o actual content I hardly think it's possible).

well actually it should display namedrives info shouldnt it?

as its the advertisements on their website that the name directs to.

so im not sure if it will be added.

Im not sure what you are saying there do you mean write a article about the website? but whats if its joined to Namedrive like it uses their advertisement.

does your name server direct to server space then it gets redirected to ND?

or are the nameservers ND's nameservers?
