How long does it take a parked domain to crawl to the top search results in google or yahoo after URL submission if it is an exact match of the search keywords .COM? Does the fact that the domain is actually parked and not an actual website so to speak affect this? Are there ways to make the process go faster?

Thanks :gl:

Parked domains take a while to get indexed, because the site won't be crawled as it has no content, however, there are ways to get your parked domain indexed (not sure if I can mention them here) :-/

Parking companies do try to get the parked pages indexed in Google. Its not always easy as parked pages have minimum to no content.

I parked my site in Noomle so it actually has some content including articles and videos. Is this good enough? What else can I do?

Noomle and WhyPark are more than just parking companies. They are for putting up minisites for you domains imho. Check out the following threads for more info.

I think you are doing the right thing. This way your website will get indexed more quickly with google. My experience with Noomle is that, it took around one week for google to index.

Tweaking basic things such as the Title and Keyword Text Links (and choosing (and optimizing) "content" with the domain name niche) within the page can assist, as well ... as will adding any relevant 'custom content' (that some parking companies permit, such as Parked.com) - these will never be on the same par as actual, developed sites with unique & compelling (and fresh, useful) content, naturally. :gl: :imho:

I have one domain at Noomle and I will be adding some more. The domain was getting a lot of traffic at a parking service, but no clicks despite my attempts to optimize it.

No, Noomle is not really domain parking but mini sites as was suggested, or if you add enough content you could consider it a web site. So search engine traffic will depend on the amount and quality of the content, the SEO, and the links pointing to your site. Try submitting your Noomle site to search engines and directories or getting some social networking bookmarks and I think you will be happy with the results.

Google and other Search engines give very little priority to Parked domains...they keep tweaking their Algo to spot such sites...I'd call it a waste of time to focus your energies in getting a parked domain indexed and then expecting it to top search results

Noomle is not really domain parking

Top results are very hard unless the keyword phrase is not used much, but being in the results is not too hard. I have about 1,200 parked domains at the parking service TrafficZ.com. Most domains suck at getting type-in traffic, but many all get SEO traffic from people search for odd things at Google and Yahoo. I do have a few that are right near the top of the reults or at the top and they do pretty good. Of course I have optmized them well with 10 years experience behind me...

It may depend on the parking service you use, but for the most part I don't see any sign that parked domains are evaluated differently any other kind of site. They just have a big disadvange from normal sites because you are limted to how much content you can add, and most parking services don't let you do ANYTHING to promote them or get links.

But parking at Noomle is not really "domain parking". When you put a domain there you really get what I would call a mini-site. And if you add enough content I would drop the word "mini". Really, they offer a pretty nice templated content management system that works well for for those that have domains that don't convert at regular domain parking, or if you should happen to get some domains that are "banned" for some reason. I have over 200 domains at TrafficZ that Yahoo decided they didn't like and they got banned. TarfficZ does use 3rd tier providers, but they don't may much if anything. I moved 3 of my domains that were getting traffic to Noomle, spent a little time adding content and some optimization and the first month those domains earned about $7 with AdSense.

So I got $7 for 3 domains that were earning me nothing at TrafficZ (Which I love), so I'm happy and will be moving more of the banned domains there as I have time. But if I have domains at TrafficZ that make money, I won't move them since I don't have the time. I might try one just to see how much more I can make, but we'll see.

That is very informative. I only have 10 domain names at this point so I guess I can spend some time on creating sites on Noomle which I love by the way. Thank you for sharing your experience :tu:
