Are you using AdBrite on your site or blog? If yes then you might have asked yourself why you don’t get more targeted ads and why you don’t make more money from the clicks you generate. In this post I will answer both of those questions for you.
One thing you must understand is that AdBrite is not a contextual program like AdSense and YPN. This means that you will not get targeted ads from AdBrite that relates to the content on your site. When you create an ad zone at AdBrite you probably know you must choose a category for your site or blog. This is the category all of the ads shown on your site will relate to. That is why it’s so important to choose the right category. Choosing the right category is the first step to getting more relevant ads.
The second thing you must do is to login to your AdBrite publisher account and go to “manage ad zones”. Click on your ad zone and choose “Ad Specs”. At the bottom of that page under the title “Network Ads” un-check the box “Yes, auto-approve network ads (recommended)”. Now you might need to wait up to a day until you will get any ads to approve. But don’t worry, they will come.
Okay, so you have a bunch of ads to approve now? Great! Now you have the control to approve ads only that are relevant to your content and that pay high CPC. Depending on what kind of ad zone you have you might also get CPM banners and Interstitial ads.
