How to find out if my expiring domain has been backordered?

Hi Npers,

We got a bunch of infos that are expiring soon. The renewal fee is $6-8 at the different registrars.

Was wondering if we could just DELETE it from the current registrar and FRESH REG it at one of the $1.99 / cheap info registrars? If so, was wondering how to check if any of them have been backordered.

Hello GoPaddy,

If you delete the domain, it will take some time until it's available again and you will take some risks as someone else could register it before you.

So, I wouldn't take the risk

You will know if the domain has been backordered when you see the whois database...

I don't think there's a way to check if they are backordered. Renew them if you really want to keep them.
