I know there are a lot of link building techniques out there.
But all i did to mine, was just add and add more and more articles. The more article pages you write, the more keywords get indexed once the Google spider visits your domain.
Just based on my experience, my site was gaining traffic and saw that most people found my domain from Google searches, than by typing my domain name directly on the browser. And my minisites don't even have any links. Just content. The thing is, always put a sitemap or a navigation menu on every article page you make. So that if the user is not satisfied with the page he has visited, he can easily navigate through the other pages in your website. Some sort of trying to advertise the other articles you have written.
Updating the content in your minisite, is intended for repeat visitors to get them to visit you again. Before you know it, your minisite is slowly becoming a full-blown website.
