How to do an Escrow that involves trading names?

I've used escrow.com dozens of times for high priced domain sales. But I have a new transaction I need to do and am not sure how to do it. I'm hoping someone can help me.

I am selling a domain name for a price plus the buyer will be giving me two of his domain names. The domain I am selling is by far the most valuable. Let's say my name is worth $20,000 and he is giving me $18,000 plus two of his names worth $1,000 each. Escrow.com says that I have to do this in two separate transactions. The problem with that is that the buyer can complete one and bail on the other one. I need to be able to do it all in one transaction.

Does anyone have any idea of how best to do this? Is there another escrow company that handles these more complex transactions?

Plan A: If the buyer wants your name bad enough tell him that he has to transfer the two domains first.

Plan B Purchase the two domains first but at a price in your favor (if the main deal doesnt happen you still feel like you got the better of the deal)

Plan C See if another escrow like ecop and their 'domain swap' fits you better.

Plan D tell the person to pay more and you will buy the two names after the main deal.

this is complicated issue, some other member who is experience should advice, but be very careful dnt risk your domain without proper research on the buyer. goodluck

Escrow can't help with type of transaction. I wrote to escrow.com twice today and both times the response was that it would require two transactions. Two transactions does not work because there is no guarantee that both transactions will be executed -- if only one is completed, there is risk for one of the parties.

Thanks. I've already worked around it. I've changed the deal and instead of getting the two domains as part of the payment, I upped the price for my domain and he accepted.

I think that offering a service such as this would be something you might consider doing, formally on your site in the future. You could charge more for the service since it takes more of your time and is more complex.
