How to catch expiring GoDaddy domain?

I want to grab a domain that is at GoDaddy and has just entered "pending delete" status.

Am I correct in thinking that I need to place a backorder at someplace like SnapNames or Pool, and that even though it is a GoDaddy domain it will only reach TDNAM if nobody has backordered it? Or is TDNAM actually the way to get it?

Thanks. Do you know when it would be listed at TDNAM? (It isn't there yet, and it entered "pending delete" a day or two ago.)
