Really sorry, I didn't know the most appropriate place to post this so I'll just post here: can someone please point me in the right direction on how to be a domain registrar? I don't know if I'm using the correct term. I basically want to provide domain registering services in my small community. Thanks! :)

GoDaddy charges a monthly or yearly fee. There are others that do not charge upfront. Check out http://reseller.ajm.domains/ or resell.biz

Search the forum - the question has been raised multiple times in the past.
Eg search for icann accreditation or similar.

    Really interesting question.
It seems like you will need to register with ICANN in order to do it.
