If this Dot Mobi Business Gang does indeed dominate the world.. and DotMobi is adopted one person at a time.. worldwide..

Then prepare for the landrush II - Against US! How strong is your defense NOT to sell your best?

There have always been Rumors about how Sylvestor Stallone did not "sell out" when he shopped his script.. I read this recently from http://rushprnews.com/RockyVI-press-release-122142006.htm :

So when he signed for the script, it was certain that "He's (Stallone) GOT to do it"..

Now, look at this DotMobi as a sociological phenomenon.. businesswise, I see DotMobi as the best grassroots business opportunity to "make it" BIG I have ever seen in my lifetime..

With that said..

So how strong is my Defense? To not "sell out" (like Stallone) for my best of DotMobi, but DEMAND to be the Superstar if I am signing my best away!

Right now, for your best you got 100% ownership usually.. so now the game is "how you will NOT make it"..

Now everyone is excited and wants it to happen right away, but that could cost you.. What if you "sell out" or dilute your 100% ownership with perceived "strategic partnerships" without the true knights of the round table?

This leads to your ability to "Hold On!" It could be anytime; but, at least you know that it if you hold on with your best long enough, with blessings received for you only, the best for you can happen for a lifetime.. "It's like the early bird catches the".. BUT.. "Good things come to those who wait".. "and save the best for last" all combined!

That means the first people that come to you might not always be the best, but if floods of people aren't coming to you already to be choosy, then maybe that's an indicator that your fruit is not ripe yet to "make it".. and be set for a lifetime..

A great post. I got a couple offers in the good-but-not-great range - if I had posted them I think a lot of people would have said sell. They were for above current reseller prices. But the more I thought about it the more I felt that the reason those offers were made was that someone believed that those domains would be worth more later.

There is pressure to show relatives that this is succeeding, to sell out enough to get my investment back, to enjoy the fruits now.

.Mobi (and LLLL.coms) are young plants in the garden. Edible already, but tiny compared with their potential. It is not certain, by any means, that they will reach that potential, nor will there be a time when we know they are ripe. But I don't think they are anywhere near ripe yet.

I have let one go that I already regret (dayjob.mobi). Unless I have an extreme offer on my other good regs I will not sell. The future is looking bright for .mobi and I want to be in the game when this thing blows up.

I suspect for some it will be a matter of having money to re-reg the names they already own. In some cases gems may be let go just to keep up with mounting fees. My hopes are that in a couple of years .mobi will be widely accepted by the public and early mobi investors will be able to cash in.

I guess my defense is not very strong. I've already sold one of my LLLs at reseller price a couple of months ago and right now I have my best LLL (iHD.mobi) up for auction at Sedo. I will probably regret both of these later, but unfortunately I need the money NOW! I guess I just have no willpower.

What will you do in 2 years from now when your mobi hasn't made it big for you? And what do you consider BIG? Also what other opportunities have you had in your lifetime? Have you ever held $100,000 in cash in your hand that was your money? Have you ever earned $50k in a week? I did both and looking back..neither meant I "made it big". I was just doing well at the time. Out of the thousands of domainers that started off early only a handful really "made it big"...and part of that was sheer luck. Normally people who talk about making it big aren't making anything...only sitting around and wishing it to happen. Exactly what are you doing to make it?

I will agree though that your best chance to make money is to hold the mobis. It's apparent that selling now isn't gonna be the golden egg some hope for so you only have 2 choices...hold or get out. Since most are in for reg-fees might as well just hold out. Even I wouldn't sell my few mobis cheaply. For the $100 investment I have I can wait 2-5 years to see where it goes. I am pretty sure that at least my LLL will increase in value enough to make it worthwhile.

hmm very humbling and thought provoking..

I'll try to respond with my own personal life..

I have so Much Hope for Dot Mobi because - the signs:

I have been a social worker in homeless shelters in:

Newark, New Jersey - HIV+ clients and emergency shelter

Camden, New Jersey (voted most dangerous city in America) - mobile homeless outreach program to the people on street corners at night to offer social services..

All that was great (and I'm not claiming to be a WWII Veteran or anything), but all that was not as memorable as when I tried to save children from syndacates in a Third World County..

I know how it is to get cold, feeling your lifeforce energy leaving you then to get back attached to an IV .. robbed, poisoned several times, guns put to me 6 times, kidnapped, put in "detainment" they call "detachment" - a guy stanced crying, angry, and shaking with finger on the trigger gun to my head.. that moment lasts Forever..

..stemming from a domain name; and, other UG activist days for nonviolence and religious ministry.. and trying to rescue certain people..

It was a big UG Hit, the reality is strongest and hardest because of the silence around the center of the spider web of networks..

Fast forward to today, 8 years later.. Not having accepted or owing anything with any mafia..

I still have had not much money and secular accomplishments.. but I am on my knees now praying almost 5 times a day; and, I am seeing true JoY(somehow I wonder if I had been successful earlier than I would be spoiled or no longer alive..) In the end, everything come$ only through the door of the Source.. from a sperm until now you are here.. Forever..

I agree. I was actually somewhat shocked when I saw your portfolio -- you always seem so modest on the forum, always talking about dotmobi, but never about your fantastic portfolio. Very nice indeed

Actually this is the first complement on the radio network I have ever received.. very encouraging..

Also goodluck to you and all as well - I am also striving to have many kids some day..

But right now, I am becoming more popular locally so I can't go out easily without having to look over my shoulder literally.. but I have faith in my Guardian Angel who has kept me alive still, enabled by the Most High.

I have hoped to live the online lifestyle for security reasons - so that I can go anywhere, anytime "on the go" to network..
