.mobi dotmobi already successful

I often wonder if people belief dotmobi is already succesful ?
some of us in this forum still think is years away but the success of dotmobi is almost exactly the pattern with dotcom in the early 90's , not only it has reach the 500k mark but the amount and quality of live sites and recently Amtrak rail just joined this row.
The success of dotmobi is already established , How many tld apart from dotcom was adopted at this rate by corporations ?

I have been using Google for years, I love it and it is great. But, may I suggest that you start promoting "google.mobi" for mobile usage, rather than "mobile.google.com"?

It is much easier to type in my mobile keypad. Everyone I talk to about this agrees. Thank you for considering this!

What would mobi say to convince google.com it should use google.mobi over it's extremely recognizable brand?

Recently Google announced it was dropping Froogle.com in favor of http://www.google.com/products. I don't think that's a great idea but they are the 800lb gorilla..how can you argue with that. So they won't even use a different dotcom but you think Google should use a .mobi? NOT GONNA HAPPEN

Agreed. Besides, it really doesn't matter -- should dotmobi succeed, Google could just add mobile device detection... Why get a .mobi and look like an idiot if it flops, nevermind spending millions attempting to brand it?

noones saying google.com isn't the silverback.mobi :hehe:

just be nice if when google.mobi is typed in, it appears as such in browser.
not that it REALLY matters
they have managed it for google.ca & google.co.uk, a matter of time i guess

Some of us in this forum think until google or yahoo embrace dotmobi before dotmobi becomes successful but i disagree because I belief dotmobi is already successful.Some of the corporation that have embraced dotmobi are surely not going to wait for google before spending money on advertisement to promote their dotmobi' site.

For the past months , we here in this forum have witness one or more big corporations put up their dotmobi site and to me this is a trend in motion that would be knocking at all corporate doors as competitors do not want to be left out in the cold.

And lastly,Some of us are so anxious that we can't see the reality of dotmobi's success at present but I will remind we compare to other Tld besides dotcom.
