How much would you pay for your "hometown?"

Specifically a .net.

No matter how big or small?

Reason I ask is I am currently in an auction for my hometown that's been regged since 1997. I've been waiting years for this to drop and now is the chance.

I imagine Eugene (my hometown; population 140,000) would be worth several thousands in the .net extension.

Devil, it really boils down to - what would 'you' pay for your hometown. How bad you really want it, is what you'll pay!

It would be pretty hard to get my town, Bandera. In Spanish it means flag, so yeah. It's a small town, but gets a lot of tourism.

Depends on what you are going to do with it :)

Oh, it's nothing spectacular, just a somewhat small town in Ohio.

Here's a hint, hometown to Dean Martin and Rollie Fingers.

Ugh... I drive by Yuma on my way from Phoenix to San Diego... I thought phoenix was bad....I feel bad for people who live there. There is only one thing thats decent. Just west of Yuma they have some great Sand Dunes... I would love to take an ATV out there. Looks like fun.

Yup, the Imperial dunes. During peak season, there's an average of 2-3 deaths out there a weekend. I'll pass and just keep driving on over the mountain to San Diego and hangout in the gaslamp for the weekend. :D

Yup. I'm sure folks are like, where? But there is major sentimental value going on with this one.

You would have to pay me to register it in the .net, I wouldn't mind owning the City though
