Hi,

My first sale was 14 months ago for a handreg at Godaddy which I sold for $320 2 days later via outbound marketing.

The domain was HoustonSwimSchool.com if it hadn't been for that sale I probably would have left domaining.

What about yours?

My first flip was a 4L .co.uk.

Handreg with the intention of pitching it to some companies in the UK with the same acronyms.

I was contacted 7 days after I regged by one of the companies, before I even started any out bounds....

Sold it 2 days later for $1k.

It was def a cool way to start off.

Then I quickly realized how rare that was.

My first sale(s) came in the same week.

I picked up 10 closeout domains and a realty drop at NameJet for just under $500.

Three months later in the same week I sold one of those 10 closeouts through an inbound inquiry for $1500 and sold the drop caught domain through outbound for $4500.

Congrats everyone on your gr8 starts. Its been 15 months since I am domaining and my first flip was very small compared to you guys.

It was a handreg .org for 5$ at Godaddy and sold it on namepros for 10$.

Still learning as to how to flip at gr8 prices like some of the pros.

Okay, not sure this counts because it was almost 15 years ago, but I hand regged a domain back in 2002, then sold it to a gentleman for $2500. He still owns the domain and site today. He found the domain through, at that time, a company called Great Domains.

Scouring expired lists in early '08, hand regged a name (backlinx.com), parked it at sedo with my other crap and got a $500 offer on it within a month or two. Good feeling when you are new! I then funneled that entire $500 into llll.com back then and flipped and flipped them for years.

First sale was in 2003 for 1k on a hand reg that I had plans to develop but didn't get around to it yet. That sale kinda made me think maybe I should invest in domains for resale along with doing my current web hosting, web development, affiliate marketing etc... So I blame that first sale for starting the madness.
