How long should we wait if dealing with a non paying Sedo bidder?

Is two weeks long enough?

How long do you wait when a sedo buyer doesn't pay to either relist it or sell it somewhere else?

Sedo gives the buyer 10 Days, so I think 2 weeks is too long. If there was more than one bidder I would contact SEDO and ask them to contact the 2nd bidder to see if they want the domain at their high bid price.

I think it's about time Sedo made the bidding non-anonymous.

Lets riot :D

I have a confirmed buyer and I know they have paid sedo yet a week later and 2 emails from me to them.. nothing not even a confirmation they have got payment :td:

Plus they lied to the other party and emailed them saying they had sent me an email on Friday... did they... NO

Are you sure they have not paid or is sedo stalling

I once paid Sedo with 24 hours and the seller only got his money after about

3 weeks.

Yes, I agree. The seller should at least be able to see all the bidders, like with eBay.

They'll give you the contact info for the bidder if you ask...happened to me and I did that and e-mailed and PMed him (a member on another forum whose name I happened to recognize). He ended up paying.

In my experience with Sedo, it always takes at least 10 working days to get the money from a sale - and, often longer.

On one occasion, I happened to know the other party via a Forum - so, I knew they had paid....yet Sedo still held the money for a further 8 days.

Frankly, I think Sedo banks the money on every sale transaction - and earns interest for a few days, every time....It would add up to hundreds of thousands of free dollars for Sedo, in interest, every year....

...Nice little earner for doing nothing...

I am sure you're quite right on this one. Just about any institution that handles money for clients does this. It's downright dirty.

You're very right - You nailed it right on. I'd say the majority. Heck, banks only need 10 percent of a dollar amount in their reserves to give a loan, so if they hold 2 million of your money, they can loan 20 million to me on your 2 million you left with them! Quite the scam.

Well I emailed my rep there and got an auto-vacation reply until tomorrow. I will see what she says tomorrow and won't try to resell the name yet, I guess I have to give another week leeway just in case the buyer really has paid.

Sedo just doesn't care about the small fry like us. Though $100-$300 transactions probably make up the bulk of their annual income.

I negotiated a domain for sale on 2nd of July. Still waiting for the transfer to complete and thus to get paid.

They claimed the transfer initiated on the 16th of July, it was initiated on the 1st of August. Basically they couldn't care less how long you have to wait, while it might not be a lot of money for them, for us it makes a difference.

I have contacted the Sedo NamePros reps about this thread.
Lets see if we get a response.

That is very very bad >:(

I have sent two emails now and not even a reply... I understand I am not the only seller, they are busy etc but not even to respond, This is very bad customer service sedo...

Well I did get a reply once a week, when I wrote to them.

But shouldn't they be following up on transactions?

Would appreciate faster movement, I understand it would be longer than forum sales, but one month is ridiculous.
