How long does it take for Google to index my site?

I setup a website related to wallpapers a couple of days a go and just wondered how long (roughly) it takes for Google to start indexing the pages and displaying content?

I've searched in Google the URL but only get 1 result.

Wallpaper site so I guess lots of wallpapers and very less text.

Moreover to get crawled you should start getting links from good sources.

make sure that everything in your navigation menu is in order and submit a sitemap through webmaster tools. more fresh backlinks to your site should help it get indexed faster.

You can take for 2-3 months for index your site. Make your site with good content and wallpapers.

i'm pretty sure that a site can get indexed much sooner than 2 months, and you must be doing something very wrong for it to take as long as 3 months...

Sites can get crawled within 24 hours too.

Just needs some high profile backlinks to get started and make the google bot follow those links

make sure the pages on you're website are linked well with eachother....
try and submit your site to some indexes... that might speed things up...

It can take up to 5-30 days for a website to be indezed by Google. However, XML site map, bookmarking submission and incoming links can speed up this process.

I would put some articles on there related to your niche plus some of the pages are returning 404's.

Is your site indexed yet?

I can normally get a site indexed by google in less than a 1 week, infact around 48 hours(sometimes)..I remember when I made my first website about 3 years ago, it took like 4 weeks to get indexed but I know more now than I did then of course.

Some sites take longer than others but if you can make some noise and post to social networking sites, forums and comment on popular blogs you should get yours indexed fairly quick. And please dont be one of those spammers that go blogs and forums that dont contribute anything..If you do post on a blog write something useful and meaningful that way the blog owner will approve your comment and sometimes might include you in a future blog post.

I also think it is important to have good clean code(you should have this with all sites..) which makes it easy for spiders to crawl.

Reach out to other related sites and ask for a link exchange. If their site gets crawled often then spiders may crawl your link(site)

Don't stress to much as patience is a big key in the serps(search engines)

Are sure your web site is not in Google's sandbox because once a web site has been put into Google's sandbox, it takes six to eight months until it comes back to the normal index

It does vary, I had sites index in as fast as 48 hours...and as slow as almost 2 weeks.

Site could be indexed fast, but the REAL question is:

How long does it take to be high ranked on needed keywords?

You need to have good content, tons of baklinks and just after that you could start receiving a benefit.

Wallpapers site is a little difficult to index but very difficult to rank for any keywords because wallpaper topic is very competitive.

Ok. What I do is that I use Google webmaster tool and submit my sitemap. Sitemap invites Google bots to crawl site. I think this is the way your website will get indexed 10 times faster than normal index. .

Blogging is proven as among the fastest way to get indexed into google. Blog about your site's content with link to your site.

Do you have Google ads on your site? It seems to me this is the Quickest way to get indexed as it forces Google to look at the site to provide custom ads. Same with Yahoo ads if you have those.

At this moment you site should be indexed already. Then will be maybe sandboxed for a few weeks and then will strating showing results, more results every 2 or 3 days, depending on the number and quality of backlinks that you get.
