Hello Guys,

I want to know about namesilo. How good they are? Any disadvantage having domains with them?

Currently I am using Godaddy, Name.com and namecheap

Two+ weeks. No changes :( . On a side note, current Namesilo team received a perfect thoughtful system from the original founders (Michael Goldfarb and Michael McCallister), please do not change the things unless absolutely necessary... If it works don't fix it!

Domain transfers aren't getting discount program pricing applied to them anymore. Can you please check this bug?
To clarify, domain transfers are not included in our Discount Program as we typically already keep our domain transfers as low as we can. However, if you're enrolled in the Discount Program, then your transfer price should be the lower of the retail transfer price or the renewal price that you qualify for under the Discount Program. If this is not happening, please let us know.
Confirmed. Even though @namesilo wrote on previous page:

- it is no more the case. Hope it is a bug that will be fixed ASAP. In the meantime, I had no choice but to delay routine transfer-ins to namesilo :( - was planning to transfer-in more domains exactly today.
We have our developers investigating this matter urgently. In the meantime, we have launched a .COM transfer promo for $10.40 so you, and other impact customers, can continue forward with your domain transfers. If this is still higher than what you would qualify for under our Discount Program, you can still proceed forward with your domain transfers and email us at [email protected] and we'll issue a credit for the difference. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

It is higher. So I'll better wait for your devs to fix the things. I'm too busy (or, to be 100% honest, lazy) to email support, and there are no ticket numbers instantly returned as a reference (was the case before), and support agents are still anonymous (no names included in replies)...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it - something each developer should remember, we see one more proof as your devs are now _urgently_ investigating ;-(

Why do users now have to disable a domain's Whois privacy first before we are able to update its Whois contacts profile? It was possible to change profiles fine without disabling privacy before. Can you please fix this?

Apologies for the inconvenience. We're working on a fix and it should be going live within a couple of weeks.

There was change where NameSilo now sends each started domain transfer as a separate email even if they are in the same purchase order. This is very unnecessary compared to the previous way of sending all new transfers started in a single email. Now when you start to transfer in 10s or 100s of domains it sends out way too many emails and makes it harder to check domain transfer emails.

Also noticed domain transfers into NameSilo don't send out any completion email anymore when the transfer is completed. Can you please fix this?

I'm trying to transfer out a domain name to another registrar. The first domain worked, now this second domain cannot be transfered away, I get this error message:

"Rate limit exceeded"

Please don't limit the number of domains I can transfer away in a single day! I guess it is a bug because you should allow transfer away requests without limitation if the domain can be transferred away.

Edit: worked now, however looks like I need to wait up to 5 minutes between two domain transfer away requests, so this makes transferring out multiple domains very slow, please remove this.

It used to be 00:00 UTC for all auctions - when did this change?

Yes, confirming that the end time for our auctions was changed to 11AM EST/8AM PST (4PM UTC). The reason for this change was to optimize timing and facilitate for the maximum number of bids (based on our internal data). The new timing went live last week.
