How good are obscure single word names?

I found a single word name!

like mellifuous dot com or amaranthine dot com

long obscure word in the english dictionary, with an end user in mind. i can hand reg this right now.

are these types of domain names (long 10-13 character single word and obscure words) in demand?

should i snag this one?

You need to be careful with the spelling of these names for example, the first one should be "mellifluous"

I used to have a weakness for these names, and I reg'd names like hetaerae.com, I didn't ever get anywhere with them, and I notice that huge domains has picked that one up.Obviously they don't know what it means judging by the capitalisation they use. My latest one is sensitised.com, but Google seems to think that should be sensitive, and that is completely different. They need to be sensitised to correct English. :)

typically, obscure names don't have any value -
that's why you can still find some of them available to register

also, if not spelled correctly for the market, that you're marketing it in....
then
it may show your lack of knowledge about marketing.

and....

if SE's don't pull any ads for your obscure word, then who will think it's a cost saver versus adwords?
