I've got one website where every new page gets indexed in Google within minutes and other sites where it takes many days or even a couple of weeks before new pages are indexed. Can someone tell me why? Thanks.

It's probably down to how often Google is spidering your sites.

It's probably visiting one site much more frequently than the other. Out of interest, do you have RSS feeds set up? These can encourage Google to visit more frequently.

Accordingly to Matt Cutts, the crawl rate of sites depend on their PR. The more PR a site have, the more will Google crawl it. And I think that the more Google crawls a site, the more faster and the more pages will Google index from that site. Your site where pages get indexed faster, whats its PR and whats the PR of the other site?

You would think that Google would be consistent across the board, but it doesn't always work like that. As angilina said, it can depend on the PR or the quality of the site, but sometimes Google will index a page on one site much quicker than another, there isn't always a good reason why.

Building links to the slower-crawled site may help, along with making sure that there is a regular stream of fresh content for it to crawl.
