How exactly we sell the domains?

OK. I am already a proud owner of e new domain. I want to sell it. When someone wants to buy it and send me the money, how exactly to transfer the domain to him/her?
(The domain is from cheapdomain.com, I have a Cpanel there and I can see my new domain. Which option is for transferring the ownership?)

You can push a domain to another Namecheap account in the following way:

Login to your account
Click on Manage Domains
Select the domain name you would like to push
Click on Push Domain To User on the left hand side


You will need to enter your account password for authorization and the destination username the domain will be pushed to.

The buyer might prefer to have the domain at his/her usual registrar (changes it would be godaddy), then you 'unlock' the domain and provide the auth code to the buyer. Then he/she can initiate the transfer. You will receive an E-mail with a link to approve the transfer. Then it can take up to 5 days, it depends. Some registrars allow you to expedite the process.

This is for .com etc. For country code extensions the process may differ.
