How do you sell a site?

I own a domain/web site I'm trying to sell. I registered it on godaddy. Just wondering how do you go about transferring the website and domain to the new owner? Is it done on godaddy? How does the new owner get all the files you have on your computer for the site?

i fthe site is uploaded you give him the host and he download it from there, the domain it is transferred through godaddy, look for the option in the website

You can just use the backup option in cpanel to download all your files if that is what you are using. Also, it is reccomended that they have a godaddy account, becuase then you can push the name into their account. This is different from transfering becuase transfering moves the domain from one register to another.

What I do is push the domain to them and give them the cPanel/FTP info and let them have a month of hosting to give them time to move the site OR some folks like the files zipped and sent to them via email or a download from a URL. Depends on the customer and the kind of site.
