Well for me, I put up alternativefuels.tv for sale at sedo and when I checked on it I saw the message below attached to my listing.

Important:
Certain .tv domains considered premium by the registry are subject to registry renewal fees that can be higher than the typical fee. Registry regulations require premium .tv domains to remain only at Enom. Learn More

Hmm..Thanks Enom.

Looks like sedo has finally decided to give some info to the unsuspecting buyer who knows nothing about premiums. This is probably because they have had so much trouble with prmiums being won and the bidder not knowing about the yearly fee. A good thing Sedo is doing I think.

The same has been attached to all my .tv's too, problem is like you rightly point out the premium cannot be checked at Enom!.

Premium?

Good to know the domain is considered premium because the price is not.

Same goes for my californiabusiness.tv...standard pricing but same premium message on this domain as well.

Doesn't actually say the domain is premium it say's "certain" domains. I suppose Sedo are in the same boat as the buyers they cannot find out which are premium and which are not through the Enom system so they put the "Warning" on all!

Its on all .TV domain that are for sale. While I find this a good thing to warn about, it definately could deter potential buyers IMO. Especially since I only have 1 premium domain. It could effect the random person from placing bids for fears of premium renewals. Yikes. There must be a better way?

Interesting

Please disregard my last message.

Yes, I see this is done for all .tv's.

Enom...so confusing, Geeeez!

All of my listings now contain this irritating message as well. The text link is pointless as it takes the reader to Enom which provides no information regarding renewal rates of registered premiums.

Thanks Dapari for sharing. Rep added.

Yeah, so this is one of those bad things that have come about because of premium pricing.

This is more confusing then if they just put a little check box by domains to signify premium pricing or just state the renewel fee.

What they have done is really more harmful to domainers holding tv names. I guess sedo got sick of all the failed sales though, so don't blame them for it.

What i do see though is a great opportunity for Ahead.tv to become Sedo official link to checking premiums, imagine their link on every .TV Auction at Sedo, If i was Mr Ahead.tv i would be onto them quicker than you can say premium renewals. ;)

Agreed. They would be replacing a totally useless link with a golden one.

i guess at least now a prospective buyer may think to ask the seller about the domain reg fee's .....it's some form of education , but a link to ahead sounds good also
