How do we know Moniker is safe?

Everyone is always saying only to do a whois at moniker, because the others will sell your queries. How do we know moniker is safe?

Do not blindly trust any registrar to do the right thing. Double check all transactions and save all your emails.

Not meaning to put down Moniker in any way because I otherwise have good
experiences with them, but I agree with that.
