Transferring out of Moniker?

Hello everyone,

So I currently have a domain that is now expired (as of May 30, 2014) with Moniker. I have been trying to transfer the domain out of them to Name.com, and while everything has been approved via email on my side, Name.com is saying that the domain isn't coming through because Moniker needs to release it.

I have sent Moniker an email regarding this, but have not heard a reply from them yet.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

After Moniker has changed, a lot of things have really become a big hassle....

This is the first time I'm transferring an expiring domain from Moniker. I put in the transfer 3 weeks before expiration. This (2nd week till), I receive an invoice to send money to a Wells Fargo bank account. Are they trying by all means possible to keep names?

I unfortunately had it at deny and activated it. My domain has expired for a little over a month now... What should I do? I am afraid that it will go above the 40 days soon...

Can't you just renew it at Moniker? That's the safest thing to do IMO. I think your chances of transferring it now are pretty slim.

I'd bid on it in the oncoming Auction at which auction house Moniker uses now. SnapNames or NameJet?

PS: I agree with forge. If you can renew it. That's the obvious choice at this moment.

moniker only gives 35 days.. you're gonna lose it unless you renew at moniker

I don't think transferring out per se is an issue (aside from the long wait), unless you've got Snapnames won domains.

All mine got dumped on NetSol, so I had to deal with the NetSol BS instead of the Moniker BS. But eventually I threatened them with an ICANN complaint and they emailed me the Auth Codes the next day. They are all now happily transferred to my preferred register, Dynadot, except 1 which has one week to go before the 60 day new domain block lifted.

One of my domains disappeared, not on Moniker nor N.S. I've been dealing with Web.com and N.S. for a week, no results, and I got absurd replies... I'm really upset. Complained to ICANN, no reply yet.
