Well, just my two cents but I think the cart is in front of the horse right now. The good news is that you are at the right place to answer that question. This is a very dynamic question that has limitless and diverse answers. My advice to you would be: Put the credit card away, start reading this site forwards and back. Then do it again. You are now a little closer to start investing in this awesome industry called domaining. Good luck to you and welcome to NamePros!

If you feel the domain has any value, which it doesn't, and you want to waste time trying to sell it you can add it to Afternic, Uniregistry, Sedo etc. markets and set the nameservers to point the name to the for-sale page. The chance of selling a good domain to an end user in any given year is often less than 5%.

Start by asking yourself why you purchased/registered the domain name in the first place. If it's just because you thought the name sounded cool, then unfortunately, chances are you're wrong.

If you were an end-user, how would you use the domain? If you're struggling to think of an answer, realistically, there's probably little inherent value in contacting prospects directly - I'm not even sure you'd be able to identify potential end-users for a name like this.

Do as NoBS suggested and list the name on every marketplace you're registered with, learn a valuable lesson, devour every piece of domaining information you can get your hands on and then move onto the next name.

Have you tried to develop it? Since you already paid for it, get some use out of it, learn from it. If you have never built a website, it really isn’t that hard. I would learn two things, cPanel and WordPress. CPanel is a GUI for a web server account and most cPAnel accounts come with auto installers that can make it easy to install WordPress. I would checkout WP Begginer before you purchase any hosting. I would stay away from the big companies and get a cheap hosting plan. You can take a domain that has no value, develop it and have a greater chance of selling it. To be realistic, it is very had to sell domains and the best advice has been given in the posts before mine. I just wanted to add what you can do, now that you have purchased a domain. I have no affiliations with any of the companies I have listed above. Good luck!

Do some research and acquire domains based on future innovations, liquidity (LLLL.com, NNNNN.com, One Word, etc.), brandables, etc.

Set up a landing page on your future domains for inbound leads (bodis.com, undeveloped.com, etc.)

List on all non-exclusive marketplaces for maximum exposure (GD, Sedo, NP, Flippa, Afternic, Undeveloped, Uniregistry, eBay, etc.).

Good luck my friend!
