Please can someone tell me how authentic and reliable the domain traffic and revenue stats on dynadot expired auction are.

Do not trust those numbers only, some domains are quite accurate but most of the domains are far away from the stats Dynadot show. Always do your own research of a particular domain.

Totally inaccurate. Some names are 1 year old with previously pumped up traffic with no links at all and they make XXX USD per month according to Dynadot. I can not believe people actually bid on them and the prices of such rubbish goes up in the sky.

As others said, not to be believed at all.
I had bought 2 "traffic & revenue" domains few months ago, well the traffic was all bot traffic, and obviously the domains could not provide any revenue.
