Hi Guys / Girls,

I have read couple threads here and I understand that finding good domain is really tricky and it depends on multiple factors. I am wondering about domain traffic and its relation to revenue. I have piled lot of questions with humble request to you parking experts.

In most expired auctions I can see actual traffic info but how reliable is that?

If domain is parked with other parking service then where registered are data correct?

How do you find traffic info for pending delete and expired domains?

How much traffic do you consider good enough to buy domain?

I have one domain which is not having almost any traffic (2 visits in 1 week) but has almost 70$ cpc (no clicks yet). Would you keep/register such domain?

Thanks for your kind answer.

I will answer your questions but I don't think the answers will help you much since they will bring even more questions.

a. Not reliable at all. Totally ignore those numbers
b. I don't understand what you mean here , sorry
c. You can't. The only thing you can do concerning traffic is to 'estimate' how much traffic an expired domain might have. That is only a very rough estimation and it also needs experience and various tools to help you do that.
d. You can have a domain that has low traffic but high paid clicks and a domain with lots of traffic with low paid clicks. All in all it depends upon the nature of the domain.
e. If we are talking about parking only, you should keep a domain that brings you profit after renewal fees, anything lower you should drop.

Thanks I guess that answered some of my curiosity.

I have of course one more question .... well maybe 1000 more but I try to stick with one right now.

I see expiring domains which had some income (Dynadot). Does it actually say something? Is it reliable?

Can you please show me an example? Where do you see 'income earned' in Dynadot?

well, according to Dynadot, those are the figures they get from the parking companies that Dynadot has a partnership with.

Those might be real or not. The question here though is,
do they still earn that revenue?

There are a lot of domains with expired backlinks that *used* to get good revenue and now they don't. Please be very careful with that.

My advise, when buying from any market for parking purposes, is to ask proof straight from the seller.

Also realize that articles written a few years ago may appear before major changes occurred that limited the appeal of domain names without much more appearing in search engines. Lots of posts but you want to make sure you read items that are relevant in the past year or two at the very least.

Very true, but those two threads give much more than info on parking
they basically give you a good understanding of how to approach parking in general and they are a must-read if one's a total newcomer in the business
